Aarnikota opening hours/events

 

 

We will open for the winter season on the 17th of December at 11 am.

 

On the 25th and 28th of November Aarnikota will be serving a pre-Christmas dinner.

Please make your reservation to the event at least three days before.

Dinner starts at 18.00 and will last approximately two hours.

 

Starters from a buffet

 

Finnish herrings, blinis, rainbow trout roe, mushroom salad, sour cream, Aarnikota´s macaroni salad and dark archipelago bread

 

As a main course

 

Blazed salmon cooked on open fire, roasted Lappish potatoes and forest mushroom sauce

 oven baked turnip and carrot casserole

 

As a dessert

Pears poached in mulled wine and vanilla ice cream

 

Price 60€/person

 

Menu includes black pot coffee/tea and water. Rest of the beverages such as beer and wine you can order on spot

Hut Café and Bar in Luosto

Aarnikota is a small and traditional Laplander’s hut in Aarniluosto 1.5 km from Luosto centre. You can visit Aarnikota while hiking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, or by car.

During the day feel free to drop by for some creps or black pot coffee. We offer beverages for adults and for children as well. Heart of Aarnikota is an open fire pit that can accommodate 20 people around it to enjoy the atmosphere. At the daytime we don´t take reservations in Aarnikota. When you arrive to our Hut, you know why.

When the weather allowes you can sit outside and admire the beautiful Ukkoluosto fell or watch some Siberian Jays. Aarnikota is also a perfect place to spot the northern lights assuming they are willing to appear. In the evening Aarnikota is open by request for groups up to 20 persons.
